I remember this was the first Young Living Oil Blend that made me go “Huh? I can get abundance just by using this oil? Lol!” Actually, I didn’t say “lol” like some teenagers do but it was more like “How can it be?!” You see, up till then, I only knew about the physical and some of the emotional (like uplifting moods, turning on romance) benefits of using essential oils. How does one obtain abundance from using the oils? It was pushing my belief in essential oils.
Today, I still don’t think that anyone can achieve abundance just by using this blend, but one can become more confident and more energised by using this oil blend and so do better in their endeavours such that they can obtain greater success and abundance. Still unbelievable?
Just last week, a team member shared that her husband loved this blend and had been achieving higher sales target every month since using it. Putting on Abundance (and Believe) every morning reminded him of his goals and God’s abundance for His children, thus boosting his confidence to do his work with zest. Success begets success – do you prefer to patronise a confident and zealous salesman or a salesman with a I-don’t-think-I-can-hit-my-sales-target or nobody-will-buy-my-products attitude? So this is likely how the
“law of attraction and the energy and frequency of prosperity and plentitude.” (from the Essential Oils Desk Reference, Sixth Edition)
works with this blend!
The ingredients in this blend were highly-prized during ancient times. A few remain highly-valued today. Being highly-prized in ancient times would have associated them with wealth and prosperity as only the rich and the royalty could afford to get hold of them. Those who possessed them probably felt the pride and pomp of being the special class which gave them the confidence, favour of men and opportunities to participate in successful ventures, which made them richer. It was an “abundance” cycle!
- Orange – brings (feelings of) joy, security, peace and happiness
- Frankincense – was valued more than gold during ancient times and only those with great wealth and abundance possessed it…Frankincense contains sesquiterpenes, which stimulate and elevate the mind, overcoming stress and despair.
- Patchouli – According to legend, Patchouli represented money and those who possessed it were considered wealthy. It is also relaxing and helps clarify thoughts.
- Clove – is an oil from the Orient associated with great abundance, and those who possessed it were considered wealthy.
- Ginger – was highly-prizes in ancient times
- Myrrh – used traditionally in the royal palaces by the queens during pregnancy and birthing. Conferring a sense of dignity and stateliness, it is a kingly oil.
- Cinnamon Bark – It was regarded by the emperors of China and India to have great value; their riches were measured by the amount of oil they possessed.
- Spruce – it helps relieve emotional blocks, bringing about a sense of balance.
This is another oil which smells better out of the bottle AND from the second use onwards. The first time I tried it, I could not understand how anyone could be attracted to the scent! Well, I didn’t use it on myself the first time, I persuaded my husband to use it before he went to work in the morning. I didn’t tell him that I didn’t like the scent, of course! He called at midday to complain that he couldn’t stand his own scent. Lol! I assured him that it didn’t smell bad. Quite sure he didn’t attract any abundance that day!
I used it on myself last Friday and I didn’t hate it. I found the tanginess and slight spiciness from the orange and ginger moderately pleasing. Did I experience any evidence of abundance? Hmm…perhaps. For the salesgirl at the boutique who served me at my unexpected shopping spree, definitely yes! But that’s going in the wrong direction!
Later that evening, I attended a family gathering and a cousin came up to me to ask about Young Living. I had not spoken to her about essential oils previously and I didn’t bring the topic up for discussion. We had a fruitful conversation. *wink* Coincidence or abundance working?
I cannot end this post without mentioning the biblical model is based on the abundance mentality. Jesus said
I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full. – John 10:10
A full life is an abundant life, not one of lack. A scarcity mentality says there’s only so much to go around, so if I don’t get all I can while I can, some one else will get it and I won’t have enough. The motives behind the scarcity mentality are selfishness and faithlessness. An abundance mentality says the Lord’s supply is endless, so I can share what I have now because He’s promised to supply all my needs in the future. The motives behind the abundance mentality are generosity and faithfulness.
We can give the extras that we have to those in need, depending on the Lord who was the one who gave us all things, to provide for all our future needs.
And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus. – Philippians 4:19
I shall use the oil blend Abundance to remind me of God’s promise of a full life in Jesus and to live with this abundance mentality because I belong to the King of kings.
